We collect the following information when you use Metric37:
- Account information: email address, name (optional), and password (hashed).
- Usage data: word counts, processing timestamps, and feature usage.
- Payment information: processed by Razorpay — we do not store card details.
- Documents: text you submit for transformation, stored to enable document history.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and improve the Service; process payments; communicate important updates about your account; enforce our Terms of Service; and detect and prevent abuse.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Metric37:
- AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic): your submitted text is sent to these providers for processing. Text is not stored by these providers beyond the duration of the request.
- Razorpay: payment processing. Subject to Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
4. Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. Documents are stored until you delete them. Usage history is retained for billing and analytics purposes. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and secure token-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and associated data; and export your documents at any time.
7. Cookies
Metric37 uses localStorage to store authentication tokens. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when this policy was last revised.
